December 5, 2024:  Southern Illinois Reading Council will host a Holiday Gathering from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Montgomery’s Place, 131 S Division St, Carterville, Illinois.

March 13-14, 2025:  Illinois Reading Council will host the 56th Annual IRC Conference in Springfield, Illinois.  Please take a moment to peruse the highlights planned for 2025.

April 2025:  Southern Illinois Reading Council will host the Spring Celebration Short Story Contest from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Carbondale Civic Center, 200 S. Illinois Ave, Carbondale, Illinois.
