October 27, 2021:  Suburban Council of the IRA (SCIRA) will host the SCIRA Fall Conference on Vocabulary Naturally - Building Word Wizards at Home and School with Camille Blachowicz and Char Cobb from 6:00 to 7:30 pm via Zoom.

February 3, 2022:  Suburban Council of the IRA (SCIRA) will hold a board meeting at 5:00 pm via Zoom.

February 8, 2022:  Suburban Council of the IRA (SCIRA) will host Encouraging Intellectual Curiosity in Young Advanced Reads, Selecting and Using Challenging Children's Literature from 6:00 to 7:30 pm via Zoom.

March 10-11, 2022:  Illinois Reading Council will host the 53rd Annual IRC Conference, Literacy in Bloom, in Springfield, Illinois.  Please take a moment to peruse the online Conference Preliminary Program that highlights the speakers planned for 2022.

April 13, 2022:  Suburban Council of the IRA (SCIRA) will hold a board meeting at 5:00 pm via Zoom.

June 9, 2022:  Suburban Council of the IRA (SCIRA) will host the Summer Conference with Jeff Anderson and Whitney La Rocca from 8:30 am to 3:15 pm at the Holiday Inn-Northshore-Skokie, 5300 W. Touhy Avenue, Skokie, Illinois.
