Introductory Paragraph:  The purpose of this article is to share informative and inspiring picturebook biographies that recognize and celebrate the fascinating lives of people who should be famous but aren’t. These people are Eugen Sandow, Jerry Lawson, and Edith Clark. It also shares three instructional strategies that teachers can use with these and other picturebook biographies and literary genres to support student-engaged reading and active learning in the classroom.
