Finding Common Ground: Understanding Ourselves and the World Through Literature:  Just Read
By Jung Kim and Deborah Augsburger

Document: Column

Introductory Paragraph:  Sometimes we read for pleasure, sometimes for growth and healing, sometimes to escape, and other times to learn more about ourselves, others, and the world around us. This edition of the column speaks to the many ways in which we read. There is no one specific theme to the books we include this time; they are just good books we enjoy and would recommend. Some might make you laugh and others send you down a rabbit hole of additional research, but that is at the heart of why we read—the ability for a text to be a window into the world. We hope you and your students enjoy these titles as much as we do.
