Finding Common Ground: Understanding Ourselves and the World Through Literature: Multiple Perspectives: Learning from Different Worldviews
By Jung Kim and Deborah Augsburger

Document: Column

Introductory Paragraph:  In today’s increasingly divided world, it seems that it has become harder and harder to see someone else’s point of view. To this end, literature has the immense ability to help us see what it is like in someone else’s shoes and to humanize their experiences. To this end, these texts show insightful, detailed glimpses of the human experience, and some are even paired together to better provide options in getting multiple perspectives on a single issue.
