Insights from Illinois Authors: A Conversation with Lindsay Currie
By Ronda J. Gray

Document: Column

Introductory Paragraph:  When the IRC and Illinois Reads Honorary Chairman, Secretary of State and State Librarian Jesse White, announced the 2020-2021 book titles, they selected the multiple award-winning mystery book The Peculiar Incident on Shady Street by Lindsay Currie as one of the titles for grades 3-5! Scritch Scratch, her second mystery book, is receiving similar recognition! Audio and foreign rights have been sold for her books, and the books have earned flattering praise from the children’s mystery writer R. L. Stine. Readers will be excited to hear that What Lives in the Woods will be released this fall, and Curses of Eastport is forthcoming (2022). Lindsay lives in Chicago with her husband and three children.
