November 3, 2008: South Eastern Reading Council will host Reading Rules of the Road - Teaching Fluency with Pam Miles from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Ty's Buffet, 1065 W. Main, Olney, IL 62450. Registration
can be mailed to Diana Woods or through Pat Burt at the ROE#12.
IRC/SERC Members are free and nonmembers are $5.00. CPDUs are
available.
January 26, 2009: South Eastern Reading Council will
host Brain Compatible Strategies with Roberta Sejnost from 5:30 to 7:30
PM at Ty's Buffet, 1065 W. Main, Olney, Illinois. Registration is through the ROE#12. IRC/SERC Members are free and nonmembers are $5.00. CPDUs are available.
February 21-25, 2009: International Reading Association will host its 54th Annual Convention Beyond the Horizon featuring Two Great Events in Two Great Cities. In February, IRA will host Multiple, Pathways to Literacy in Phoenix, Arizona. IRA will host Reading, Writing, and Conversations from May 3-7, 2009 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. March 19-21, 2009: IRC Conference, Reading! Engage! Excite! Ignite!, in Springfield, Illinois. Please take a moment to peruse the Preliminary Program highlighting
the ENGAGING authors and EXCITING speakers awaiting you at the 2009
Conference that are sure to IGNITE your passion for reading! The early Registration deadline is February 1, 2009. The Housing Form is due to the Springfield Convention Vistors Bureau (SCVB) by February 15, 2009.
March 30, 2009: South Eastern Reading Council
will host a Carnival of Ideas - Book Reviews/Talks, Summer Reading
Ideas, Book Awards, Grant Writing from 5:30 to 7:30. More information
will be available soon.
