June 11, 2009: Chicago Area Reading Association will host a conference with Dr. Barbara Eason-Watkins at 4:30 PM at the Marriott Hotel, 6520 S. Cicero, Chicago, Illinois.  The cost is $40 for CARA members and $45 for non-members, and $55.00 after May 31st and at the door.  Bring new or gently used books and get a CARABUCKS voucher worth $5.00 off the next conference.  

March 18-20, 2010: IRC Conference, Lighting the Way to Literacy, in Springfield, Illinois. Please take a moment to peruse the Conference Preview highlighting the highly respected leaders in the field of reading who will brighten your way in teaching the children who will be our future leaders.  Registration and housing information will be available by November 2009.

April 25-28, 2010: International Reading Association will host its 55th Annual Convention Reading in Many Languages in Chicago, Illinois.  To find out more about this exciting convention, check out the Annual Convention section at www.reading.org.
