February 24, 2010: Suburban Council of the International Reading Association (SCIRA) will sponsor a conference on Partner Reading in Content, Too
featuring Donna Ogle from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Walker School, 3601 Church Street, Evanston, Illinois. Registration for SCIRA members is $25, students is $15, and non-members is $65. CPDUs
and one hour of University credit are available.
March 18-20, 2010: IRC Conference, Lighting the Way to Literacy, in Springfield, Illinois. Please take a moment to peruse the Conference Preliminary Program highlighting
the
highly respected leaders in the field of reading who will brighten your
way in teaching the children who will be our future leaders. Early
registration is available until February 1, 2010. Conference housing
closes on February 24, 2010.
April 25-28, 2010: International Reading Association will host the 55th Annual Convention Reading in Many Languages in Chicago, Illinois. To find out more about this exciting convention, check out the Annual Convention section at www.reading.org.
June 16, 2010: Suburban Council of the International Reading Association (SCIRA) will hold a board meeting at 6:00 p.m. For more

June 17-18, 2010: Suburban Council of the International Reading Association (SCIRA) and National-Louis University Summer Teacher Renewal Seminar will sponsor a two-day conference on Words Their Way: Word Study in Action featuring Donald Bear from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Chicago North Shore Skokie, 5300 West Touhy Avenue, Skokie, Illinois. Registration for the two-day conference is $175, or you can sign-up for a one-day, all-day Friday event for $100 for SCIRA members or $140 for non-members. CPDUs and one hour of University credit are available.
