February 6, 2012: Illini Reading Council will host Books and Technology for the Reluctant Reader with Betsy Shea from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Champaign Public Library, 200 W. Green Street, Champaign, Illinois. Educators will be introduced to the many books that can entice the struggling reader to be an eager reader and include a tour of the children's library. This is a FREE event! Please reserve your spot by February 2nd. Registration at the door is possible if seats are still available.
March 15-17, 2012: Illinois Reading Council will host the 44th Annual IRC Conference, Literacy in the Land of Lincoln, in Springfield, Illinois. Please take a moment to peruse the Conference Preview. Housing and Registration forms will be available in October 2011!
April 12, 2012: Illini Reading Council and Vermilion Valley Reading Council
will host CAFE in the Classroom: Adapting the Work of the 2 Sister
with Crystal Anderson and Elaine Modene from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The
cost to register is $5 for
Vermilion Valley and Illini members and $10 for non-members. For more
