Thousands of literacy advocates, educators, and researchers will gather from September 29-October 1, 2016 for the 49th Annual IRC Conference, Reading: Unlocking Opportunities, at the Peoria Civic Center and Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette Hotel in Peoria, Illinois.
Registering? On-site registration is recommended for those registering after September 15, 2016. Please note that the meal functions closed on September 15th and will not be available for purchase at the conference. It is recommended to download the registration form and have it filled out to register on-site. Individuals who need special accommodations must make specific requests in writing to the IRC Office at least three weeks prior to the conference. Already Registered? Your registration packet including your name badge and the final program book will be available at the IRC Registration Desk at the Peoria Civic Center, 201 SW Jefferson Avenue, Peoria, Illinois. Registration Hours are 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28th; 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 29th and Friday, September 30th; and 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 1st.
Housing Reservations? Special rates have been negotiated at Peoria area hotels. To obtain these special rates, reservations must be made directly with the hotels either by phone or online by August 15, 2016. Some of the East Peoria Hotels will provide guests with complimentary shuttle to and from the Peoria Civic Center. Shuttle arrangements can be made directly with the front desk at each hotel. Interested in CPDUs or University Course Credit? Forms for PD CLOCK HOURS will be available at the conference in your Final Program Book. Conferees can also earn one to three hours of college course credit while attending the conference from the University of St. Francis.
